A reminder for
today
But when the Father
sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach
you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. "I am
leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift
the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid. (John 14:26-27)
We came back yesterday after an awesome weekend in the
Kruger National Park. We were specifically blessed because we visited my family
there and what a blessing to see them again and spend time with them. It is
amazing how God works in their lives. I was humbled again in His presence when I
saw how much God is doing with them. So I made a decision that in the year to
come we will visit more of my family and build our bonds. Down with Facebook.
I love these verses. Jesus says here that He sends the Holy
Spirit to everyone to remind us of everything that He said. I must say the
Holy Spirit was busy with me this weekend. I felt how He rejoiced in the time
we took to see my family and how He just realigned me in that instance. Jesus
says here that He is leaving us with a gift. This gift is peace of mind and
heart and this peace is something that we can never buy or achieve. It is given
by love and grace so that we will never need to be troubled of afraid.
So today I want you to take time and talk to your family. Go
and see them and spend time with them. Nobody in this world can mean so much in
your life as family. Let God remove all fear and accept His gift of peace. Do not
be troubled anymore and do not fear.
Lord, give us your peace today so that we will destroy all
fear and walk in courage. In Jesus name.
