A reminder for
today
Imitate God,
therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.(Ephesians 5:1)
The message is simple, live
a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and
offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. Yet the
execution of this message is not so easy, especially when we are a little set
in our ways. Imitating God can be difficult when we are angry at someone or
when we are hurt. My work is in a very popular area here in Pretoria. So at the
moment there is a massive development taking place. On the one side a new upper
class mall opened a month ago and across from us they are building an enormous
hotel and casino. You can just imagine the temptations that this area will
produce and how many will fall at the desires of this world. It is unbelievable
how much challenges come across our journeys and how hard the enemy is at work.
For every one saved the enemy creates a hundred traps where they can stumble
and fall.
So to imitate God and be His child is not a job for the
fearful ones and surely not if you are ready to give up at the first bump in
the road. So you can imagine the year that awaits us as they plan to open this
casino early next year. I can just imagine old Lucifer calling his demons in
for a meeting. He’s got the projector up with graphs on figures as they plan to
take this area with no resistance. He forecasts his projections to plan how many
souls will be lost in this battle and then he boasts as he shows this new
temple for the dark side. So yes you will meet me in my war room as I stand on my
knees for the salvation of all that enters this place. To imitate God is to
give and to sacrifice, and there is no better way to start than on your knees
in prayer.
So today there is no challenge. All I ask is that you take
more time in prayer and fight the good fight with me.
Lord, today I pray that you will give us guidance as we pray
for other. Please help us to touch the hearts of those around us so that they
will not be lost, but instead let your words touch their hearts and find good
soil to grow in. In Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
