Today Reminder – 12 January 2017

A reminder for today
Always be joyful. Never stop praying. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17)

Oh my goodness the morning traffic to school is terrible. You know I like traffic but these last two days are terrible and to be stuck in traffic watching the time go by and you do not move is a joy breaker. So Paul says always be joyful. Now there is a challenge for you. Life and all its challenges can make us so negative that we get to a point where we just want to explode. It is the little things that really gets us like patience and understanding. You know to be patient as you stand in a line that does not seem to move and everyone helping looks as if they are on holiday. Understanding someone that takes from you without asking or understanding someone that differs from your opinion, now that is a difficult one especially when you know you are right and they keep arguing just because they want all the shine. You know that guy that makes a career of sucking up. It sounds like I have a few issues today. Maybe I do or maybe I miss a few inches of that joy we all need so much. I find it difficult to accept injustice and especially inconsistency in the workplace.

Now Paul says that we must always be joyful and we must always pray. Prayer is so powerful and it is such a huge privilege to be able to enter in the holy throne of our Lord and spend time with Him. God wants us to humble ourselves and pray, in fact we are here to pray and bring glory to Him.
My challenge for you is simple today. You must never give up and stop praying. In your prayer you will be able to release the stuff that binds you and grow your faith. You will find peace as God will always hear your prayer, but most importantly He will answer your prayer when it will have the best effect on you and the people around you. God instructed Abraham to sacrifice his only son that he loved so much. His faith rewarded him when God gave a ram to be sacrificed. Imagine his faith. He remained faithful, because he knew God will provide and in just the right moment God intervened and it boosted Abraham’s faith. God will work in the same way with us, He will answer your prayer, but your faith must remain steadfast and God will provide in the right moment.

Lord, we ask your forgiveness for our little faith and I pray that you will guide us so that we will grow in our faith and keep praying just as you did when you were here among us. Teach us to pray as you did and to make prayer our priority in each day putting you first. Be with us today as we put on your Armour and keep us focused on you. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
