A reminder for
today
For we speak as
messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is
to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts. (1
Thessalonians 2:4)
It is Friday already, can you believe how quickly this week
went by. As the weekend awaits us we still have to face the challenges that
awaits us in today. Today I just want to remind you that we are not here to
please people, we are here to please God and if our ways to please God does not
please people than these people are not people that we should concern ourselves
with. God will deal with their corrupt hearts. In the end it remains our choice
to follow God or to remain lost to His love. Yet, there are so many people
pleasers and I have written to you about this a number of times. It is
important for us to remember that we should not alter our personality to please
someone. If that is the requirement to be their friend then we are on the wrong
track. Friends and loves ones should accept you for who you are and how you
are. Everyone needs to be accepted and the right person will love you for who
you are no matter your flaws. In fact they will love you for your flaws. So don’t
go and become someone that you are not to be part of someone that does not
respect you.
Today my challenge is simple. Love, accept and understand. As
messengers approved by God we are entrusted with the good news. With that comes
love, understanding and acceptance plus guidance. We must guide those on the
wrong path by the Word of God to change course and set their sights on Jesus. It sounds simple, but I know it is not so easy to just accept and then love and understand
someone that sometimes is not so easy to understand. I can only pray that the Holy
Spirit will give you wisdom to deal with all people and especially the
difficult ones.
Lord, help us to love and accept and understand by listening
to you and following your Word for guidance. Be with us today and help us to
put on your Armour and see your miracles as we remain focused on you. In
Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
