Today Reminder – 24 January 2017

A reminder for today
May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ. (2 Thessalonians 3:5)

We have been blessed in the past few weeks with rain and the burst we had on Saturday was amazing. Just as the rain pours down and feeds the earth the Lord reigns down on us and pours His blessings in our lives so that we will live with contempt and know that He is God. We talk allot about prayer the last weeks and today I just want to remind you that your prayers are your own personal direct line to the Lord and that He sits by the side of God fighting for you just as He gave His life for you. This verse talks about patient endurance and understanding the love of God.  But let us focus on patient endurance. I love it! You see we are in a race, the race of life and in this race we have many obstacles. Some are natural ones that we all face but some are planned and planted by the enemy. Now as it is with any race we need endurance and endurance comes from training and preparing. In this race we train and prepare in prayer. God is our coach and He pilots the way for us. But Paul reminds us that we need patient endurance, because this race of us is a lifelong race and without patience we will struggle. But our race is a team sport, because the enemy comes in battalions but we stand together in prayer and as we pray for each other we will be stronger and we will endure.

So today I have no challenge but I have a testimonial. I wrote to you in December and told you how lighting knocked out our TV. There was a misunderstanding between us and our insurance that meant they were not going to replace it. So I accepted it since it was my mistake, but God had a different idea. He changed their hearts without my knowing and yesterday they replaced our TV with a very nice new one. What a blessing!

Today I just want you to remember that God hears your prayers, you need patient endurance and you must remain faithful in prayer.

Lord, we lift your name on high and we worship you from our hearts. May all the glory and honour be on to you and may your name be on every person’s lips as knees bend down and worship you. Lord, bless each one reading your blog and hear our prayers. Keep each one save and help us to build patient endurance as we put on your armour and battle the enemy. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
