A reminder for
today
May the grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. (2 Thessalonians 3:18)
Just as we got to school this morning, it started to rain. It
did not rain hard, but just enough to get you wet. I loved it, because it
reminded me again that God works like that. When you expect it the least, He reigns down and blessings follows. Just enough to get you wet and to focus your
attention on what lies ahead. God is amazing in how He knows when and where. So
this short burst of rain just glorified Him, because we know that He acts and
He is faithful. He hears our prayers and He knows what we need.
I like to call the devil the great divider. You see he wants
to scatter us and bring us down so that we cannot unite. I read an awesome
comparison last night.
They began saying to
each other, "Let's make bricks and harden them with fire." (In this
region bricks were used instead of stone, and tar was used for mortar.) Then
they said, "Come, let's build a great city for ourselves with a tower that
reaches into the sky. This will make us famous and keep us from being scattered
all over the world." But the LORD came down to look at the city and the
tower the people were building. "Look!" he said. "The
people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing
they set out to do will be impossible for them! Come, let's go down and
confuse the people with different languages. Then they won't be able to
understand each other." (Genesis 11:3-7)
You see when people are united they are banded together with
a common goal. Even God saw that when this happens nothing will stop them. Imagine
the power we have in this and imagine when we unite in prayer what the impact
will be on the earth. Our prayer chain will be impossible to break and we will
bring more glory to God than ever before. We will totally end the enemy’s
attacks and break his attempts. But he too knows the power that we have in
unity and that is why the enemy works to break us up and cause division and
disputes. He does everything is his power to stop Christians from uniting.
So today I want to challenge you in uniting us. Let us set
our minds on God and focus our prayers so that we will build a chain of prayer.
Imagine what we can do for the lost the fearful and the ones that seems to live
for themselves. Imagine what we can do.
Lord, today I pray that we unite in prayer to glorify you
and break the grip of the enemy. I pray that we will set a common goal to pray
as often as we can for each other for strength and wisdom. I pray that you will
unite our thoughts so that we will be one in prayer. Let us stand together as
we put on your armour and face our challenges. In Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
