Today Reminder - 12 December 2012 (Turning)

A reminder for today
So Moses returned to the LORD and said, "Oh, what a terrible sin these people have committed. They have made gods of gold for themselves. But now, if you will only forgive their sin—but if not, erase my name from the record you have written!" (Exodus 32:31-32)

Turning away:

This is something that I have wondered about for a long time. Why would the people of Israel ask Aaron to build them a god after all that has happened to them? They stood by the mountain, they heard God’s voice, the saw God’s miracles and yet they turned away from Him worshipping a golden calf.

But does that not make you think that this is how we are. We see all that God does for us, we are guided by His Spirit and when all is over we can so easily slip back into our old ways.

Now this made me think: “Now leave me alone so my fierce anger can blaze against them, and I will destroy them. Then I will make you, Moses, into a great nation." (Verse 10) God wanted to destroy His people, but Moses pleaded with God and so God did not destroy His people, but allowed Moses to go down the mountain and confront them. God did punish them though: Then the LORD sent a great plague upon the people because they had worshiped the calf Aaron had made. (Verse 35)

Jesus intervenes for us each and every day asking God to forgive us and be patient with us. My dear friend, Jesus died for you so that you can be free. Do not abuse this gift, but align yourself with His word and His life so that you can be free from the pitfalls of this world. Do not let the enemy trick you in falling for his empty promises and allow him to place material things in God’s place. You do not want to stand in front of God’s throne to await judgement for following the wrong direction. Stay the course and set your eyes on Jesus as your goal so that you cannot be misled by the powers of this world.

I pray that you will be steadfast in your faith and that you will not dwell away from the path of life, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 11 December 2012 (A broken law)

A reminder for today
"Have the people make an Ark of acacia wood—a sacred chest 45 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 27 inches high. (Exodus 25:10)

A broken law:

The Ark of the Covenant was made to hold the stone tablets with the Ten Commandments from God. This was seen as the holiest of holy places in the temple and created a mediator between God and the people. “I will meet with you there and talk to you from above the atonement cover between the gold cherubim that hover over the Ark of the Covenant. From there I will give you my commands for the people of Israel.” (Verse 22)

When Jesus died on that cross, all of this disappeared. There are no more walls between you and God and Jesus our ultimate mediator stands by God’s side where He pleads for you and me each day. I read this interesting article on the web at http://www.wyattarchaeology.com/ where amateur archaeologist Ron Wyatt claims to have found the Ark of the Covenant. What is so amazing about his story is that the ark was hidden and the this place was below Jesus’s cross on the day of His crucifixion and when the Jesus died there was huge earthquake and the earth cracked open below His cross allowing His blood to flow down onto the ark of the covenant fulfilling His purpose to break the law and to take sin on His shoulders.

What is even more amazing about Ron’s discovery is this, he found traces of blood and here is what his tests revealed: “As we mentioned earlier, the blood on the mercy seat was tested. Human cells normally have 46 chromosomes. These are actually 23 pairs of homologous chromosomes. In each pair of chromosomes, one of the pair is from the mother and the other member is from the father. Therefore, 23 chromosomes come from the mother and 23 from the father. In each set of 23, 22 chromosomes are autosomal and one is sex-determining. The sex-determining ones are the X chromosome and the Y chromosome. Females are XX, so they can only contribute an X chromosome to their offspring, whereas males are XY, which allows them to contribute either an X or a Y. If they contribute an X, the child is female, whereas if they contribute a Y, the child is male. The fascinating finding in this blood was that instead of 46 chromosomes, there were only 24. There were 22 autosomal chromosomes, one X chromosome and one Y chromosome. This evidences that the person to whom this blood belonged to had a mother but no human father, because the normal contribution of paternal chromosomes is missing.”

My dear friend, we are worshipping an amazing and awesome God. Let us give Jesus all the glory He deserves during Christmas.

I pray that your faith will be renewed and that your spirit will be lifted during this Christmas as we worship our Lord Jesus Christ for coming down to earth and to take away our sins on His cross, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 10 December 2012 (Never alone)

A reminder for today
"See, I am sending an angel before you to protect you on your journey and lead you safely to the place I have prepared for you”. (Exodus 23:20)

You are never alone:

My dear friend, God is always with you. No matter where you are or what you are going through. He stands beside you going through it all with you. Please remember this today. He is there guiding you and protecting you and He is leading you to the place He has prepared for you.

In our lives we will have many goals that we will achieve and each goal will take us closer to God until the final goal and that is to be with Him in heaven. Live each day fully and take on each new challenge with perseverance and determination as you take each step with the Lord until you succeed giving glory to His name for all your victories. You are a pacemaker, a trendsetter, a child of God. Journey safe my dear friend.

I pray that you will know the Lord is with you and that you will acknowledge His presence in your life. I pray that as you travel on your life journey that you will remember God is with you and He only seeks the best for you. I pray that in this holiday season you will travel safe wherever you may go and that you will give God glory for all He has done, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 07 December 2012 (Be good)

A reminder for today
If you see that the donkey of someone who hates you has collapsed under its load, do not walk by. Instead, stop and help. (Exodus 23:5)

Be good, always:

"If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads." (Romans 12:20)

If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them water to drink. You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads, and the LORD will reward you. (Proverbs 25:21-22)

My dear friend, do not let anger and hate control you but instead let the peace of the Holy Spirit be your guide as you stand and do not allow the enemy to bring you down by the mistakes of other. Do not let those that are against you bring you down but instead show them the power of forgiveness and the gift of mercy of our Lord.

In this way they will eventually realise the errors of their ways and the Lord will be glorified by your victory, and for your faith the Lord will reward you.

I pray that all your enemies will come to their senses and see the errors of their ways as you continue to treat them the same as any of your friends, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 06 December 2012 (Bad influence)

A reminder for today
"You must not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you are called to testify in a dispute, do not be swayed by the crowd to twist justice. (Exodus 23:2)

Bad influence:

You must not follow the crowd in doing wrong. Do we stand for what is right or do we allow ourselves to be intimidated by friends, leaders or popularity? Do you allow yourself to do the wrong thing out of your own or do you do it, because of the norm set by those around you?

My dear friend, in today’s society it is so important that we stand for what is right and that we do not allow ourselves to be intimidated by money, power, friends or popularity. When Jesus was on earth He stood for what is right and did not allow Himself to be intimidated by the leaders of that time or even Satan. That is why He was so very unpopular among the priests and religious leaders.

It is so important that you remain unwavering in your beliefs especially in this time of the year. Seek the Lord in all that you do and you will be successful in all that you do.

I pray that you will stand on the foundation of Jesus as you remain unchanged in your beliefs and that you will not be intimidated or influenced by the world, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
