A reminder for
today
Again I say, don't get
involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. (2
Timothy 2:23)
It is still raining. How awesome is our God. Traffic on the
other hand was a mess. It felt like the rain made everyone sleep late and then
this rippled into the traffic. I must admit again that I do not like traffic
that much. In fact, I really, really do not like traffic. Life can be a lot like
bad traffic. At times, it is slow and congested and at some places, it would
flow better. Life plays the same traffic rules on us. At times, we just never
have enough time, we struggle to get everything done, and at times, we seem to
have enough time. Sometimes we are a little lazy, we leave stuff for later, and
then there is not enough time. Sometimes we plan ahead to get something done
and we just do not get to it. Sometimes we can see what still needs to be done,
but it just does not want to end. Sometimes the robot is out and we need to
take an alternative route. No matter the challenge, there is always an unexpected
bend in the road. The worst thing is, is to get upset and angry and then argue
and fight.
Now listen to Paul’s words: A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be
able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those
who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they
will learn the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape from
the devil's trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he
wants.
Do not forget that as you are stuck in traffic, the other
people around you is also stuck in the same traffic. In life, you face
challenges, but remember that other people are also gripped in their
challenges. Everyone has their own troubles that they need to overcome. What must
we do then? Well start by trusting God. Then place your challenges in His hands.
Then be kind, be willing to help and teach and be patient. Gently instruct and
leave the rest to God to change their hearts.
So today, give a helping, hand, and be nice to everyone.
Lord, let us shine out your glory and be with us so that we
can plant a seed and teach someone about you. Be with us as we put on your
armour and face the enemy. In Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
