A reminder for
today
Cling to your faith in
Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately
violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. (1 Timothy 1:19)
It is February! What happened to January? Goodness we are
already in the second month of the year and I am still at Christmas. Time is
rushing by and the scary thing is so many people still think they have all the
time in the world. So how’s your time over there. I feel like I can do with a
break and the year has basically just started. It is unbelievable how much we
must do in a short time. My wife is off to Dubai on a five day holiday
sponsored by our company in recognition for her hard work, I am staying behind
with the boys so it is party time for us. Hee hee, imagine that. In looking at
today’s verse I am adding our book and movie for this month so that your faith
will not be shipwrecked. Forgotten God is written by Francis Chan and is
probably one of my most favorite books. This month I will be reading it the
third time. It is based on the Holy Spirit and how we have forgotten what we
have in Him.
God put His Spirit in us so we could be known for our power.
Sadly, most believers
and churches are known for talent and intellect rather than supernatural power.
What’s worse is that we’re okay with it. In Forgotten God, breakthrough author Francis Chan returns us to the Holy Spirit as the Bible describes Him and invites us to understand, embrace and follow the Holy Spirit’s direction in our lives.

Then you will love our movie for this month. If you haven’t
seen it I strongly recommend it. It is a faith booster like none. If you have
seen it, it is time to watch it again. In six years of coaching, Grant Taylor
has never led his Shiloh Eagles to a winning season. After learning that he and
his wife Brooke face infertility, Grant discovers that a group of fathers are
secretly organizing to have him dismissed as head coach. Devastated by his
circumstances, he cries out to God in desperation. When Grant receives a
message from an unexpected visitor, he searches for a stronger purpose for his
football team. He dares to challenge his players to believe God for the
impossible on and off the field. When faced with unbelievable odds, the Eagles
must step up to their greatest test of strength and courage.
So today is movie day. Enjoy and I’ll see you tomorrow. May the
blessings of our Lord shine upon you and light up your day.
Lord, fill us with your Holy Spirit and lead us into this
day fearless and bold. Let us wear your armour and face all our challenges as
we renew our faith in you. In Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
