Today Reminder – 2 February 2017



A reminder for today
This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. (1 Timothy 2:3-4)

How are you,my friend? Life is a series of events, not unfortunate, but fortunate. God brings challenges and events into our lives to teach, grow and guide us. With every event we have choices. We can choose to follow His voice or we can follow our own head. Yesterday my son got a discipline note from school. Not a bad one, but a good one praising him for his keen interest in his academic works. Off course I am a proud father and he was so happy to see it. With God life is a lot like that. God watches us and when we follow His voice and do His will and we bring glory to His name, He most certainly gives us a very good note. I always imagine that it is a nice letter with a star on that just warms His heart for the faith we display. Just as much as I am proud of my children when they do so well, God is proud of you. The best part is, sometimes you do note even know what you did yet God is proud of you. I believe the mere fact that you have chosen His way and returned to Him makes Him so happy. It reminds me of the lost son in Luke 15.

"His father said to him, 'Look, dear son, you have always stayed by me, and everything I have is yours. We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found!'

So today know that you make God proud. You live for Him and in that you show Him to this very dark world. Follow His voice today and let Him guide you so that you will do His will and follow His ways. I have written so many time that you are amazing, and you are. Know it and feel it, because God thinks you are pretty cool. Walk with a smile today, because you are perfect and in you dwells an almighty God. Be fearless and determined and give today your best.

Lord, I pray that you lift us all up and fill us with your Spirit so that we will continue to make you proud and do only our best for you. Let us wear your armour fearlessly and focused so that the enemy will flee from us. In Jesus name.

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving.
