Today Reminder – 25 April 2017

A reminder for today
So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. (Hebrews 10:35-36)

Endurance is the ability to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way. Yes, life for a Christian is not easy and I know that sometimes you feel you just cannot go on anymore. Those storms and those challenges can surely be overwhelming. Today the Lord wants me to remind you to endure. The promise for us that endures to the end is much greater than all that we could ever lose. For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. (Verse 37)

It is in these moments when we feel so vulnerable and unable to stand that the Lord hold us in His hands. Therefore, do not look at the storm around you but see the hands that holds you. We draw our strength from our Lord and there is no better time, than this time in the storm to fall back and open your Bible and receive strength from His Words.

The enemy will fill your head with lies like you are not worthy or you are not able to or even that you are weak. Listen to my words! You are not weak and you are surely able. You are the very image of God and with Him, you are a beacon of hope and a castle of salvation. You are a diamond and you should shine like one. Nothing is greater than the great I am. So let us endure all suffering, all our challenges, and all our storms. Let us rise as one man and unite in prayer. It is time to stand. It is time to fight. It is time to believe. It is time, because we walk by faith.

Lord, I pray that you fill us with your Spirit and stand with us as we chase the enemy from our lands and from our homes. Let us unite in our prayers and let us stand with you fearless as we endure to the end. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
