A reminder for today
Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested. (Hebrews 2:18)

Life is all about ups and downs. Each day we face many different challenges and we walk through the storms of life as the enemy persecutes us. He is relentless in his pursuit of our destruction and he walks through this world like a lion devouring it’s pray and hunting with an insatiable need to destroy. Each day we travel on our life journey with many of these obstacles that the enemy creates. I love the quote “The enemy fights the hardest when he knows God has something great planned for us”. We often find ourselves in a place where we feel that these burdens are just too much.

Jesus came into this world to save us and from the word go the enemy wanted Him to fail. Therefore, Jesus was tested and went through terrible suffering until He finally gave His life. Note that Jesus gave His life out of His own free will. His life was not taken from Him and this is an important point to remember. Now, He went through all this suffering and testing so He knows what we face each day. He knows the difficulties we have and the burdens that we carry. He knows how hard it is and He knows where you are. That is why Jesus knows how to help us when we are being tested and He knows how to equip us when we are challenged. He knows, because He went through it too. 

Today I want you to take all those problems and burdens and challenges and give them to Jesus. Nothing we face is as big as the God that stands behind us. He will give you the wisdom and the courage to face your storms and He will guide you through the mountains that awaits you. Finally, He will give you strength to defeat the enemy and all his plans. I love to remind the enemy of his destination and to remind me of mine. Be strong, my friend, God is stronger.

Lord, we pray that you guide us through this day and help us to face the enemy and overcome all the challenges that awaits us. Lord, take our burdens and our problems and give is wisdom so that we can make the right choices. Help us to open our hearts and minds for you so that we can hear your voice and follow you as you guide us today. Lead us away from temptation and deliver us from evil. Let us carry your armour fearlessly. In Jesus name.

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving.
