Today Reminder – 4 April 2017

A reminder for today
Your love has given me much joy and comfort, my brother, for your kindness has often refreshed the hearts of God's people. (Philemon 1:7)

Kindness is the language of love that we display in a visible form. To be kind to another is to show God’s love in one of its most beautiful forms. My dear friend, your love and your passion for our Lord gives me much joy and comfort. Your kindness refreshes the hearts of people around you and your love for other is a blessing in a very dark world. Everyone desires compassion and love and everyone needs someone. We were not designed to be alone, that is why God created Eve as a companion and friend to Adam. Unfortunately, she also made a mistake, but mistakes can be forgiven and mistakes can be fixed by kindness. Adam did not reject Eve for her mistake, instead he remained by her side. Do not let anger control your thoughts, but let love overcome anger in kindness. A kind word can destroy evil and send the enemy on his way.

So today we should try and refresh the hearts of God’s people with kindness. Let your heart be the heart of Jesus and let your words be the words of Jesus as we use love and kindness to transform darkness to light. Be the light, my friend, because you have more light in you than what this world can come up with.

Our God is an awesome God and He is our strength and our hope. He is the light that we follow and the joy that keeps us praising Him. Our God is greater.

Lord, let your light be visible in the kindness we show and let your love flow through us as we bring hope and comfort. Let us wear your armour and defend your people against the enemy. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
