Today Reminder – 28 April 2017

A reminder for today
Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead. (Hebrews 11:19)

Yesterday was a public holiday here in South Africa and I must admit I did not mind at all. I am currently reading Hebrews 11 and the whole passage is about faith. Paul goes into detail explaining faith. One of the most amazing acts of faith in the Bible is probably Abrahams test when God told him to sacrifice his son. Abraham’s faith was so strong that he knew God would not let his son die. When you look at this man’s trust and how he did not hesitate for a moment when God gave him a task was just amazing. It reminds me of when Jesus said that with faith we will move mountains. Jesus walked on water and calmed the storm. He cured people and brought people back to life to display faith and the power of faith to us.

Why are we here? Why do we wake up each day and carry on with fight? It is simple. Our faith is in God and He is the very reason we do not give up. When we unite, we can change this world. It will be much like the faith of Abraham and how God gave Isaac back to him. When we trust God and have faith in Him by uniting in prayer and seeking His will, He will restore our lands and give it back to us. He will change the hearts of those currently lost and they will return to Him. Jesus asked his disciples why they had so little faith. He was angered at their reluctance to have complete faith in Him. Jesus responded, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith”

Then Jesus said to the disciples, "Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, 'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. (Mark 11:22-23)

Lord, unite all the Christians of this world so that we will stand together in prayer. I pray for change in lands, change in our cities and change in our schools. I pray that you will be glorified throughout the entire world and that the enemy will fear our faith and flee from us. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
