Today Reminder – 21 June 2017

A reminder for today
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (2 Peter3:10)

We know that we are living in the end times with all that is happening in the world. Peter writes here that the Lord will return like a thief in the night. It will be so unexpected and quick that we must be very careful that we are ready at all times. I wrote to you last week about the prophecies that we will see come true on the 23rd of September. Many people have been falsely convinced that there will be a pre-tribulation rapture. I just want to let you look at a number of scriptures that actually tells us that we will go through the tribulation and Jesus will come after that.

Let us look at 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17: But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Here it is clear that we will see our loved ones again. The dead in Christ will rise again. It is also clear in the passage that there will not be a pre-tribulation rapture. It says here that the Lord Himself will descend from heaven and the dead will rise and we that are alive will be caught up together with Him.

Now look at Matthew 24:29-31: Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Here it is even more clear that after the tribulation will Jesus return and all the tribes will mourn as Jesus will come with heavenly power and glory.

Let us also look at Mark 13:24-27 (This is a parallel verse): But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Once more we see here that after the tribulation will Jesus return. My dear friend, it is so important that we know this book we call the Bible is written for all of us. It is the Word of God and we must always make sure that we compare all with scripture. I believe that the King James Version is the best one to use and please be careful what translation of the Bible you read. Another very important thing you must take note of is what Mark ends this passage with. He writes in verse 31: And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

You know the Lord is coming and I believe His coming is much closer than anyone is expecting. Please be prepared and make sure that you reach as many people as possible. There will be a time of suffering, but the Lord will come with the glory of heaven and take us away from this world. I look forward to see you there, my friend.

Lord, let your kingdom come and let your will be done. Let us reach the hearts of as many as we can while there is still time. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
