A reminder for
today
But grow in
grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be
glory both now and for ever. Amen. (2 Peter3:18)
Today I want to write about grace. I have a huge desire that
we must see grace as Jesus gave it in abundance. Let's start with the basics. You
are forgiven. Yes, I know that it feels like you held those nails in your hands
and that you denied the Lord many times. I know you have done things that you
wish you did not do. I know that you feel this grace is unbelievable and you
are not worthy of it.
Jesus looked at you with arms wide open and He forgives you
for your mistakes. He loves you even when you feel you do not deserve it. His blood
makes you innocent so say good bye to the past and embrace today. I know that
forgiveness in never a once of thing for us and that we continue to make
mistakes and we need to be forgiven again.
As you fall down to your knees today seeking His forgiveness
remember that on the cross Jesus said, “It is done” and with these words He
took your pain and sin with Him. Forgiveness in Jesus terms is starting fresh
each day with a clean slate. I know this world causes us to fall and that our
desires get the better of us, but Jesus pulls us out of temptation and restores
us by grace. We are forgiven and we should live our lives so show that we are.
Do not allow the enemy to pull a veil of deception over your
head and confuse you with lies. Jesus does not condemn you, He saves you. It is
the enemy that lurks in your thoughts trying to convince you that you are not
worthy. Jesus died for all and all means all of us. He is so excited that you
have found your way and He is with you every step you take from here. You could
have been lost forever, but you are not. You could have seen that fire, but you
will not. You are forgiven. Stand up from the ground and start living a
forgiven life. Peter says that we should grow in grace and in the knowledge of
our Lord. For all the glory is for Him. Therefore, let us stand up and start
growing. Let us be steadfast in our faith and let us trust His grace. His love
uplifts and restores. Be the person you are meant to be in Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask that you forgive our mistakes and lift us up
from the dirt. I pray that you wipe us clean from our sin and restore our
faith. Let us stand up more determined and more able in your strength. Let us
break the chains of the enemy and live as forgiven children. In Jesus name.
Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
