Today Reminder – 13 January 2014 (Day 9 – A New Horizon)

A reminder for today
But the LORD reigns forever, executing judgment from his throne. He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness. The LORD is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know   your name trust in you, for you, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for you. (Psalm 9:7-10)

With every new horizon we reach, we must remember that the last horizon lies ahead in the near future and it is one that we should prepare for from day one. Always keep in mind that God will judge us on the last day and that we should live a life that will be good in the eyes of the Lord and that we should have no fear when the last days come.

There are three things from these verses that we can carry with us on this new horizon: One – He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness. Judgement is in God hands and we should not judge others. We should not look at others judgementally and not pass judgement for we are not capable of judging a person like God does. God looks at our hearts and knows all about us, therefore judgement is not something we should do.

Two - The LORD is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. This is nicely written – He is a refuge in times of trouble. God is our sanctuary and our asylum and when we find ourselves in difficult times we can seek protection from His safe haven. In His hands we will find our refuge and in His sanctuary we will find our freedom.

Three - for you, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for you. God does not abandon us. In this verse it is written that God will not abandon those who search for Him. With every new horizon we must seek and search God first for He should always be first in our lives.

Come with me today and let us not judge but let us leave judgement for God as we search for God our refuge and shelter from every obstacle that awaits us.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
