Today Reminder – 20 January 2014 (Day 14 – A New Horizon)

A reminder for today
Because I am righteous, I will see you. When I awake, I will see you face to face and be satisfied. (Psalm 17:15)

Every new horizon opens a new season in our lives. Each season brings about new changes and new possibilities with new goals.  In each of our seasons we will see God and I believe in seeing God in our life’s seasons we will become satisfied.

Satisfied is to be contempt, fulfilled, pleased, gratified or happy. When these emotions is not part of our season we have not yet seen God nor have we seek Him. It is in our search for God in every season of our lives that we will find Him and with this be fulfilled.

David writes - Because I am righteous, I will see you. Righteous is also to be blameless and this is where our new horizon starts. It must be something we strive for each day, to be blameless.  You have tested my thoughts and examined my heart in the night. You have scrutinized me and found nothing wrong. I am determined not to sin in what I say. (Verse 3)

To truly see God we need to be blameless and to be blameless we need to live a life as Jesus did – free form sin. It is not only a life change that we must do but also a mind-set change. We must focus on Jesus and strive to live a life that is vitreous, good and honourable.

My dear friend, to truly become a light in the darkness we must start with our way of life. And as we change our ways and seek God we will find Him and then we will be satisfied. Petri-D sings the song “Satisfied” and these lyrics are so true – “I'LL BE SATISFIED WHEN I LOOK LIKE YOU, I'LL BE SATISFIED WHEN I DO WHAT U DO WHAT U DO.”

Come with me today and let us see God and be satisfied.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
