A
reminder for today
Wait
patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the
LORD. (Psalm 27:14)
Love
is patient…
David writes that he will be confident that he will see
the Lord’s goodness and that the Lord must teach him to live and not fall into
the hands of the enemy. When we love we must love with patience. Love is not
something that is cheap and quick. Love is something that is everlasting and
love must never die. God does not love you and then stops loving you. God loves
us even when we turn our backs on Him and He still fights to turn us back to
Him.
Love should be strong enough to keep us patient and make
us determined to see it bloom and blossom.
To be patient with the ones we love means that we will accept each other’s
faults and give them time to learn from their mistakes. In this patience we
must love to grow and not to destroy.
When love is patient it learns and in learning we will
know what are the things that keep our love strong and what are the things that
create stumble blocks in our relationships. Love is not supposed to hurt nor is
love supposed to be irritated and angry. Real love overcomes these pitfalls
that the enemy creates and real love is patient to allow growth and change in
those areas.
Unfortunately love is not a one way thing, it is a two
way thing and patience in love must come from both sides. This type of love
must be brave and courageous to withstand the storms of life together and to
overcome the hassles we have in our everyday lives.
I believe that if we love with patience in the same way
God shows us how to love we will see more of the Lord’s goodness in our
lives. Love starts as a feeling and an emotion but love remains when we fight
together on our knees in prayer so that we do not fall into the hands of the
enemy but so that we live a life loving each other and loving the Lord our God
together. When God is the centre of our love, our love will withstand any
storm.
Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus
