Today Reminder (Glory) – 29 September 2017

A reminder for today
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (Psalm 91:2)

I love Psalm 91 and it is definitely one of my favourites. It is Friday (again) and I am truly grateful for all the Lord has done and is still doing in my life. I am overwhelmed with work, but grateful for it. So, today my reminder is a song of praise for my God and the King of my life.

Lord, you are my all and in you I find my refuge and strength. I have no more fears for all my worries and concerns are safely in your hands. I am especially grateful for my family and my health and I am glad you love me so much. There are no storms in my life as I walk with you over the waters that threatens my peace. I see the enemy flee from me as my heart and soul is anchored in your powerful foundation. You are my revival and on you I wait patiently for I know you will return soon. Even in this time that I am so tired and exhausted I am not worried, because you will renew my strength. I will run and I will not grow weary. I will walk and I will not faint and will soar on wings of eagles. You are my all. You are the air in my lungs and the blood in my veins. You are the morning star and the scarlet rays of the sun as my day comes to an end. You are the stars in the night sky and the moon guiding my feet. You are the beginning and the end of each and you are eternal. I will stand on your word, because this is where my hope is found. You bring peace into my life and you fill me with joy as I hear your voice and follow your ways. Your love has lifted me above all my cries and you take all that which is wrong and you make it right. You took a broken vessel and you made it a new beacon of hope. You are my God and only you will get all the glory and all the praise now and forever. I look forward to being with you, because in you there is no death.

Lord, you are all I ever need and you are my refuge and fortress and in you alone I trust.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder (Humility) – 28 September 2017

A reminder for today
In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. (Proverbs 10:19)

Big words, big words do not make you a genius. One thing I know is that the Lord does not like an arrogant man. Arrogance is a massive problem and brings so many good people to a fall. So many of us are blessed with amazing talents, yet we miss the fact that God gave us these talents and nothing that we do out of our self is the cause of what we are or what are able to do. For example: you cannot buy a singing voice nor can you decide what you should look like. God makes each one of us unique and He blesses each one of us with a number of talents. But talent alone does not bring success. It takes hours and days of work for a singer to be great and it takes hours of training for athletes to be the best. This type of success can so easily fuel arrogance and to be honest an arrogant athlete is not a very popular one.

Therefore, I would say that one who keeps a guard before his lips and thinks before he talks are a wise person. And he that remains humble are far greater than he that makes himself greater than what he is. Humility and wisdom goes hand in hand. I always say if you have nothing good to say maybe you should rather keep quiet and think about what is really needed in this conversation.

We can say the wrong thing so easily and especially when we are tired and irritated we remove all filters and the words just blabber out. To refrain from saying the wrong thing and carefully calculating what will make a better impact is a sign of great humility and wisdom.

A wise man accepts correction and direction, but a fool is covered in arrogance and sees no value in truth. Sounds familiar now doesn’t it. We are all tired in and the tempers are so quick to fire up and fight at this stage, so today my reminder is for me.

Today I want you to think before you talk and listen when needed. Be humble at all times and give God all the glory for all that you do and all that you achieve. It is by Him and through Him that all is and all will be.

Lord, thank you for all the guidance and strength that you give us and especially thank you for all the wonder we see of your glory each day. Lord, let your will be done and let your kingdom come. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder (Steps) – 27 September 2017

A reminder for today
A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. (Proverbs 16:9)

It is a beautiful clear day with a chilliness in the air this morning. It is funny, we all expected a warm day and then this sudden cool air in the morning caught us a little of guard. It is similar in life when we have all these plans and then suddenly we are pulled away from it into another direction. The fact remains we can plan our life all we like, but in the end God directs our steps and we will follow His will.

You see we look at our lives and we have a certain expectation, but in God’s plan we always expect to little in comparison to what God has in mind for us. God looks at us and He sees possibilities and we look at ourselves and we see limitations.

The enemy wants us to see only our limits, because he knows that he can deal with us a limited people. He cannot deal with us as godly people with God’s limitless plans for us. God knows that nothing is impossible for Him and He wants us to take our limitations and place it in Him, because when we replace our ideas with His ideas we start to get in line with His plan and His power and therein lies no limits.

We must stop and look at what we can do though our worldly eyes and start to look at what we can do through God’s eyes. It is time we align ourselves with His plan and follow His voice. In Him we are limitless and with Him we are powerful and unstoppable. We must just take of our fears and let God be our strength and will.

You are more than what the enemy is telling you. You are child of the almighty God and you are powerful, because in you there is power and glory and He that lives in you is far greater than the one that dwells in the world.

Lord, let us see through your eyes and let us do with your strength. Let us fear no more but instead let us stand strong and fight for the salvation of all. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
