Today Reminder (Under your feet) – 18 April 2018

A reminder for today
And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. (Romans 16:20)

You got to love this verse. Every time satan tries to bring you down and remind you of your mistakes, take a moment and remind him of his future. We live in a world where we are in a constant battle against evil and we are continuously confronted with sin and temptation. Each day we wake we walk into a war zone of lies and deceit and challenges that is designed to make us fall. This morning I got angry at my little one just to realise later that my whole outburst was not necessary, and I was out of line. Why do I make the mistake first and then see it for what it is?

Jesus came to break this hold the enemy had over us and to open our eyes to a world where we are not chained to our mistakes but instead we are free to live as God intended us to live. That is why Paul writes that God will bruise satan under our feet shortly. It is only a short while and then the Lord will return and satan will fall. This world will be destroyed and replaced with a new one that is perfect, and, in this world, we will be free from sin completely and we will live in the glory of God forever.

Psalm 91 gives you a glimpse. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name (verse 14 and 15).

You know Jesus and because you know Him you will be set free. You will not fall under the laws of this world, but you will be lifted above it. temptation will not affect you and the needs and desires of this world will no longer control your thoughts. Your thoughts will be Godly directed, and your thoughts will be heavenly focussed for the kingdom of God.

So, as you walk today see how you trample on the desires of this world and the attacks of the enemy. See how you walk over satan as the God of peace bruises him and destroys him. We do not live by fear anymore. We live by faith.

Lord, thank you that we know we are set free from all of this world by your grace and mercy. Let us show that grace to everyone we meet. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
