Today Reminder (Glorified) – 3 April 2018


A reminder for today
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. (Deuteronomy 6:5)

How was you weekend, my friend? I tried to do as little as possible. Our church had a whole production of the resurrection of our Lord on Friday and I must say it was very good. This weekend I watched two of my favourite movies again. On Saturday we watched “The Shack” and yesterday we watched “Ben-Hur” again. I love the theme of forgiveness that is the core of Ben-Hur. It is so important that we live in forgiveness and show it to all around us. 

I have said it before that forgiveness is the only way we will turn our country around and change how people think, feel and react. This weekend we focussed on Jesus but do not let it stop there. Let the Lord be your focus every day and love Him with all your heart and soul and strength each and every moment of each day. Then love everyone around you. 

If you can start this and it touched one and they do the same, imagine what effect that will have on a city, a region, a country and finally the world. The best way to destroy evil is with love. Evil can not survive under love and with love we can do great things. It is simple: God is love and when we love we show God. God is always with us so when we show Him through love we will see miracles. 

In the end it is all about God. He is the creator, but He does not want slaves. He wants friends. People that truly loves Him. God is not a dictator, He is a father. He is a loving father that allows you to make your own choices and regardless your choice He still never leaves your side. He is always there, and He will always be there. It is in this unconditional love that we find the grace that saved us when He gave His life to take away our sin and carry it with Him so that we will be free from that burden through Him. 

There is no god like our God and He is the one true God. The only living God. There is no other god that can save and the god of this world in not interested to save. He is interested in destruction. We see this everywhere he is in control. There is hate and anger and destruction that follows. 

Our God is a God of love and peace. Remember that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.

Lord, we love you with all our hearts, souls and strength. You are our God and our only God. In Jesus name.

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving.
