A
reminder for today
The
LORD replied, "Take Joshua son of Nun, who has the Spirit in him, and lay
your hands on him. (Numbers 27:18)
It is time – time flies:
The time has come for the Israelite people to enter the Promised
Land and Moses was not allowed to enter it. Moses asked God to appoint a new
leader and God chose Joshua, son of Nun.
How quickly can time fly? I realised it once again this
morning when all of the sudden I am late. We can easily be caught in a stream of
easy living with the idea that tomorrow is another day and tomorrow I will try
harder. Time goes by so quickly; do not be caught by it. Jesus said that His
return will be much like a thief in the night. We will not know when therefore
we must be alert at all times.
Whatever holds you back from completely living your life
for Jesus, fix it now. Set aside your differences or ask for forgiveness or
forgive. Whatever it is, do it now, for tomorrow might be too late.
The same applies to saying what you always wanted to say,
but thought you will wait. Share it now, give a compliment or a good word or a
smile or whatever you wanted to do for someone, but do it. Don’t wait for a
better time.
My dear friend, we should speak from our hearts where the
Lord Jesus is. So that our words are from Him and so that we can bless those we
meet and those we love.
I pray that you will know how special you are and how
special you are to God. Do not wait to give a blessing but give it as the
Spirit guides you, in Jesus name.
