reminder for today
You
must bring everything I command you—your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your
tithes, your sacred offerings, and your offerings to fulfil a vow—to the
designated place of worship, the place the LORD your God chooses for His name
to be honoured. (Deuteronomy 12:11)
Building a house – building a home:
We are in the proses of building our own home and this
made me think about a couple of things that we need to do when building our
lives. You see there is a difference between a house and a home. A house could
be just a place where you stay, but a home is where your heart is. It is the
one place that makes you feel warm and the one place where you start your
family. A home is a place where you intend to spend a long time.
A home should also be a place where you worship God and
honour Him. I believe that your body and your life could be much like a home. You
see to build a house you need a good foundation and in life that foundation is
Jesus Christ. A house needs walls to protect you and keep out the cold and in
life we need walls to protect us against the continuous fight with the enemy
and this is the Word of God. Finally your house needs a roof to protect you
from the elements and to finish of your home and in life we need God to be our
roof so that every time we look up we know where our strength lies and where it
comes from and that we will be sheltered from the storms of life.
My dear friend, may your life resemble a warm and inviting
home where God reigns so that people will be tempted to visit.
I pray that God will be your home and that your home will
be God, in Jesus name.
