A
reminder for today
Remember
how the LORD your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years,
humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether
or not you would obey His commands. Yes, He humbled you by letting you go
hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and
your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone;
rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. (Deuteronomy 8:2-3)
Bread of life:
Are you in a wilderness in your life at the moment? Do you
feel that your character is being tested as you are burdened with trials? Remember
that God does not leave you. He stands by your side through every moment of
every day. We sometimes need to go through character tests to build us and to
prepare us for what lies ahead. God put the Israelite people through a forty
year character test and although your trails could feel like a forty year
wilderness test it is important that you remain humble and faithful.
The greatest lesson that God needs us to learn is being humbly
dependent on Him and that we will learn that we do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes
from the mouth of the LORD. The word of God is our true food and powers our
Spirit so that we can face these trials and succeed showing God that we are
more than capable to face whatever lies ahead.
My dear friend, here is your salvation. Jesus replied,
"I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again.
Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35) Jesus is the way,
the true life force that will carry you through. Stand tall and let the storms
come. You are an indestructible force with an unlimited supply of strength from
an all-powerful God.
I pray that your strength will be renewed and that your
character will stand through the trials that lie ahead and that you will humbly
live on the bread of live, the Word of God, in Jesus name.

through your difficult moments, I am right beside you holding you up, I will
not let you fall – says the Lord our God.
