A
reminder for today
Moses
laid his hands on him and commissioned him to lead the people, just as the LORD
had commanded through Moses. (Numbers 27:23)
Responsibility – following God’s voice:
God chose Joshua as the new leader of Israel. This must
have been an enormous task that God laid on his shoulders. Moses has been the
one who lead the people out of Egypt and who journeyed with them through the
wilderness and handled all their complaints and all the daily issues. To take over
from Moses must have been difficult for Joshua, yet he also knew that God chose
him, therefore God will be with him just as He was with Moses.
You see, in life we often come to a cross road where we
have to change paths or change direction. This could be a number of things for
example, change a job or change of position or even starting a new life. We sometimes
find ourselves standing at this fork in the road staring at it with fear. This fear
is the unknown that lies ahead and the fear that we do not know what awaits us in
the future and most of the time we are afraid that we might have made the wrong
decision.
My dear friend, it is times like this that we have to
place the burden in God’s hands. He knows what awaits us and He knows why we
have to take this chance and just trust Him. God has a plan and if we listen
carefully we can follow His direction every step of the way. Yes, there will be
huge waves and stormy weather, but once the wind quiets down and the storm is
over you will be stronger and God will be much clearer in your life.
Do not let the enemy use fear to keep you away from the
blessings that awaits you. God has already given us such an awesome miracle and
our year has not even started. Staying the course and not allowing fear to
alter our direction will make this year a year where God will shine in our
lives.
I look forward to the unknown that awaits us and I continue
to pray for you my friend, because the same God that keeps me focused and
standing in the eye of the storm, is the same God that carries you through each
day.
I pray that you will feel His presence in your life, just
as I feel it in mine, in Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus
Cheers
