A reminder for
today
Therefore being
justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By
whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice
in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations
also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and
experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed
abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (Romans 5:1-5)
How was your weekend, my friend? It was my youngest son's birthday
and we had a fun weekend. We took the kids to “Bounce” and then we had pizza.
Kids loved it and they were exhausted at the end of the day. The weekend went
by so quickly. On our way to school this morning someone bumped our car –
again. We were standing at the traffic light waiting for the green when the
person behind me just drove into us. I was without words and upset, because
just a few weeks ago someone bumpet into us as we tried to park at the school. So,
you can imagine I was not impressed.
Luckily, he bumped the rear of my car where we have a hook
fitted so we have no damage. But, you can imagine my shock and the thoughts
that ran through my head on the way to school. I told my son, that I had many different
cars through my life and none of them was in any sort of accident, but this car
is going for its third accident and worst is none of them was my fault and all
of them was outside of my control.
This reminded me on what Paul wrote about tribulation. Paul
wrote that we rejoice in tribulation (misfortune), because it builds patience
and patience builds experience and experience creates hope and this hope makes
us stronger and not ashamed of the love that is given to us by our Lord and God.
It is the hope that we have in the Holy Spirit and the guidance we receive from
Him. It is a reminder that we are here for God and as Jesus went through
tribulation, we too will face tribulation for we are His followers. If this
world is against us, remember that this world was against Jesus first.
The enemy will try anything to make us question and doubt,
but in the end, we must remain grounded firm on our faith and rooted into Jesus
so that we will face these challenges with open arms and with hope and
patience. The enemy is the master of lies, so be careful, for he will use anything
to get to you. Our hope and our strength lies in Jesus, so the enemy will fight
to break that, because for as long as we are rooted in Jesus he will fight to
get to us.
The funny thing is that he is fighting a losing battle,
because nothing can pull us from the love and grace of the Lord. It is given to
us freely and it is by this gift that we are separated from the world, because we
are not of this world anymore. We are in Jesus and He is in us.
Lord, please keep us safe and let us hear your voice for guidance
and direction. Open our hearts and minds so that we can hear you clearly and
follow your voice. Keep us strong and bless us with stamina in our faith so
that we can fight the enemy and withstand his attacks. In Jesus name.
Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.
