Today Reminder (Which way) – 02 October 2017

A reminder for today
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9)

So, it is October and the weather is just getting warmer and warmer here in South Africa. We had a little rain over the weekend and what a blessing. We had a great weekend although I worked most of it we still had some time for fun as we went to a birthday party of one of my children’s friends. The kids loved it and we had loads of fun at “The Big Red Barn” in Irene. We talked about politics and it is amazing how negative the situation in South Africa can make you. One minute you are fired up and the next you are all irritated and miserable by circumstances. The is a massive racism drive in South Africa and it is fuelled more and more by violence. Many farmers are the victims of brutal farm attacks and many more suffer from hate crimes and race oriented hatred. Which way do we go? Do we flee like so many other and go live in Australia or do we fight the good fight and try to change the hearts of people?

The fact remains that the only way to save our country of for our people (black, white, coloured and Asian) to turn from their wicked ways and return to God. We can’t be Sunday Christians we have to change that mindset and become all the time Christians. It is time that we fight to save the lost and bring Jesus back into our homes and into our lives. It is simple to be saved and changed. All you need to do is to confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Lord and then to believe that God raised Him from the dead to take away our sin. Then your life will change, but only if you do this seriously and with dedication. To be free from the enemy and his lies is to become a Christian every day and let the Holy Spirit fill you each day so that you are renewed every day. Yesterday is history and tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a blessing so do not miss out on blessings by missing who you are in Jesus Christ.

Lord, I will trust you and you alone. Come and renew our hearts and souls today as we proclaim that you are our Lord and God and you are alive. Let us show your glory in all we do. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
