I am writing to you late today. Sorry about that. I travelled from Pretoria to Lydenburg (Mashishing meaning long grass) where my mom lives. I love our country and to travel all the way here to the low veld where the long grass is, is a beautiful journey. We step into Psalm 14 today and what is interesting is as David writes only fools say there is no God leaving themselves open to do whatever they want, thinking and basically hoping there are no consequences to it, when in fact, it is pure arrogance and a corrupt selfish lifestyle that drives them, which in the end becomes their religion and the moral values they live out which will have major consequences. Now driving down to this amazing and beautiful province with the low-lying clouds and the rain you have no other choice but to marvel at God’s creation. David writes “Who will come down from Mount Zion to rescue Israel?”. As I drove between these majestic mountains I am reminded of where my strength comes from. Where my peace comes from and where I find my rest. I find it in the Word of God. In the heart of my Savior and the love of my Father God. His love is unconditional and perfect and often we are so focussed on the problem that we miss that. Today I am telling you from what I have seen and experienced in the past two years. God is good all the time and His grace truly is enough. It is by our simple and humble obedience that we see doors open, lives change, hope rise, healing, content, blessings and it all abounds in us. Jesus simply said: “Ask it and believe it and it will be done”. Do not let the enemy steal your promised land but believe it and live it. You are a son/daughter of God, and your inheritance is in Him and His Word. Have an awesome day, my dear friend.
