91 Days of Victory – Day 29 (2026/03/28)

Honour is a word that has lost its value in today’s world. The Bible speaks about honour in many ways. Honour God, honour your leaders, honour your parents, honour your spouse, honour your pastor because there is a reward in honour. Honour in the Bible is the act of giving high respect, value, and preference to God and others, rooted in humility rather than worldly status. It involves recognizing the image of God in people, obeying authority, and showing sacrificial love, particularly toward parents, leaders, and the vulnerable. Honour God First: Scripture emphasizes supreme honour to God through worship, obedience, and tithing (1 Samuel 2:30; Proverbs 3:9). Honour Parents: The fifth commandment dictates honouring father and mother, a foundational command for family stability (Exodus 20:12; Ephesians 6:1-2). Honour Everyone: Christians are called to "honour all people" (1 Peter 2:17), treating others as more significant than themselves (Romans 12:10). Authority and Elders: Respect is owed to government leaders (Romans 13:7), church leaders (1 Timothy 5:17), and the elderly (Leviticus 19:32). Marriage Honour: Marriage is to be held in honour, with mutual respect between spouses (Hebrews 13:4; 1 Peter 3:7). The Bible links honour with wisdom, humility, and divine blessing, stating that those who honour God will be honoured by Him (Proverbs 22:4; 1 Samuel 2:30). Have an awesome day.
