This morning, I am in a place of awe of the wonderful God that
we worship. I love this Psalm and I encourage you to read the whole one today. The
heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament (heavens) shows His handywork.
When you look up at the night sky on a dark bushveld night the skies literally resonate
with the glory of our Lord. John writes in John 1 “All things were made through
Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made”. This is the God we worship
and the one who dwells in you. David writes that fear of the Lord endures and
there is a great reward in keeping His commandments. Then he simply asks that
God keeps him from deliberate sins so that they do not control him. My dear friend,
I want you to remember this and meditate on it all day – He who is in you is
greater than he who is in this world and God gave you the Holy Spirit so that
you do not have a Spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind. I pray
that the very words we speak will be words of life over ourselves and the
people around us so that it will be pleasing to God and touches hearts. A good
friend of mine said that sometimes we are the only Bible people see. Do not miss
the opportunity to be a blessing and do not neglect your time with God. Have an
awesome day.
