I can honestly
relate to every word David writes here in Psalm 39. It is hard to not say
anything, to not give my ex-wife a piece of my mind. As David writes in verse 2
“But as I stood there in silence - not even speaking of good things - the
turmoil within me grew worse”, I can fully relate and understand how he must
have felt. Some days it just consumes us as we battle with our minds and our thoughts
to say the right thing and to do the right thing. I do not know your battles,
but as I stood before God this morning, I am reminded that people may not see
or know what we face and how it affects us, but God does. He knows your heart
and He sees what you face. Paul said God’s grace is enough and I believe that. I
believe that His grace in any given moment surpasses the attempts of the enemy
and it washes away any guilt and agony we may have due to the very lies the
enemy builds against us. As much as he tries to destroy us, we are renewed in
God’s grace and His mercies renews every day, just we must also ask the Holy
Spirit to renew our minds and set us again on our paths as we keep fighting regardless
the burdens, the worries, the pain and the strain on our day to day living. David
writes that we are mere moving shadows and that our lives is but a moment
comparing it to the width of your hand. My dear friend, life is short but more
so – precious. You have only one life and in this life, we must live to please
God, be obedient and reach the lost at any cost. The only thing we can take to heaven
is people, and we should never take that for granted. I know it is hard but
love always overcomes all evil. Jesus was a classic example in His sacrifice on
the cross. We are to do the same. Come with me today as we live to show Jesus
to this world and take as many to heaven as we can. Have an awesome day.
