91 Days of Victory – Day 57 (2026/04/25)

Psalm 57 is an amazing Psalm. David wrote this when he was hiding from Saul in a cave. Now we all have a cave where we hide out. Maybe it is in your mind or the mall or the gym or a park that you like to go to or maybe it is just a walk or a drive away from the things that kind of haunt you. David writes that he cried out to the Lord and He will send help from heaven to disgrace those who hound him. What stands out in this Psalm is something we have been discussing for the last few weeks. He writes, “My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing your praises!”. This is exactly what we have been saying because in the midst of our trials we should always sing praises to the Lord and when we speak, we should always say it shall be well and finally thank God for His help. David goes further and says that he is confident and that is why he can sing praises. In other word he knows it will be well and he knows that the one in him is far greater than the one who comes against him. Just as he stood confident before Goliath, he now stands confident as Saul tries to kill him. His confidence is not in his own self but in the power and grace of God. In the Word of God and in His promises. David knows that he is God’s anointed one and that Saul will not prevail just as you must remember you are God’s anointed one and nothing will prevail and no weapon formed against you shall prosper. My dear friend, come with me today and let us turn our worries and fear and hurt and pain and trouble into confidence in the Lord God almighty, who will hear from heaven and send help to rescue you. Have an awesome day.
