I wish I could
give you a three-step plan to success. There are so many clever people in the
world nowadays and a lot of them write books about steps. Five steps to a
better life, seven steps to a greater marriage, six weeks to a six pack, seven
days to better health or three steps to success. Jesus made it simple yet it
can be very hard. He simply said I am the way. There is no other way, but through
Him, by Him and with Him. We face many trials and on some days, they are too much
for us and on other days we can deal with them and some days we just wish it
will stop. Paul writes and I have mentioned it before that God’s grace is
enough and he Paul, is content in the good and the bad. Paul changed his name
from Saul (his Hebrew name) to Paul (his roman name) when he started out as an
apostle for Jesus. In was common for Jews in that era to have a Hebrew and a roman
name. To me it means that Paul died of his old life (persecutor) to his new
life (apostle). He just did it spiritually and literally. As he took on his
roman name, he also took on his responsibility to carry the gospel into the
world. Maybe we should also shake of our Saul personality and take up our Paul
mentality. From broken to restored, from lost to saved, from hurt to healed,
from fear to victory, from worry to hope, from worldly to Godly, from condemned
to heaven bound, however you look at it we are victorious through Jesus Christ
and His way is not an easy way but as He said He will give you rest and He as overcome
this world but the path to heaven is narrow and difficult. Paul writes that he
rejoices in his trouble because when he is weak, he is strong. Today the Lord
reminds me that He will put our enemies under our feet. He is an awesome God,
and anything is possible for those who believe. Have an awesome day, my friend,
there is nothing to difficult for God and His thoughts about us are thoughts of
peace.
