My eyes are dim with grief. I call to you, LORD, every day;
I spread out my hands to you (Psalm 88:9 NIV).
As this case with my daughter seems to get more and more intense,
I am drawn closer to God as I literally cry out to Him to come to my rescue and
to let the truth come out. Apparently, cases like this are common where one of the
parties attack the other by using the children as the means to “get back” at
the other person for whatever reason. In my case I am still not sure what exactly
that reason is and why we are where we are.
It is quite a burden, and I can tell you not a nice one. I do
not know if you have ever heard or used the phrase “under the circumstances”
and then whatever goes with that like I am well or it is fine. This morning I want
to tell you that you are under nothing in this world especially circumstances. When
we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and saviour and we decided to follow Him
we moved from a worldly person to a Christ centred person and in that we are
granted the same authority that God gave to our Lord Jesus Christ.
So, no you are not under circumstances, you have authority over
your circumstances in Jesus Christ. It is what we say and do that places us in
authority or under circumstances. It is the words we use that either breaks
strongholds or creates them.
This morning I want to leave you (and me mainly) with these scriptures,
and I want you to say them out load and to repeat them as often as you can today.
1. Det 31:8 - "The LORD himself goes before
you; He will be with you; He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not be afraid
or discouraged"
2. Isaiah 45:2 - "I will go before you and
level the mountains; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut through
the bars of iron".
3. Romans 8:11 – “And if the Spirit of Him who
raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the
dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in
you”.
4. 1 John 4:4 – “But you belong to God, my dear
children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit
who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world”.
5. Isaiah 54:17 – “But in that coming day no weapon
turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to
accuse you”.
6. Psalm 37:3 – “Trust in the LORD and do
good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper”.
7. Psalm 37:4 – “Take delight in the LORD, and he
will give you your heart’s desires”.
8. Psalm 37:5 – “Commit everything you do to the
LORD. Trust him, and he will help you”.
9. Psalm 37:6 – “He will make your innocence
radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the
noonday sun”.
10. Psalm
37:7 – “Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes”.
My dear friend, read them, meditate on them, remember them and
believe them for Jesus said in Matthew 21:22, “If you believe, you will receive
whatever you ask for in prayer”. Stand on your authority and speak the Word “For
the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword”.
Have an awesome day.
