You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God
our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on
distant seas. Prosperity is always this evil word that church people fear because
the world makes us think that money is the root of all evil when in fact, we
read in 1 Timothy 6:10 that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.
Another important aspect is that the Kingdom of heaven is not a distant idea
but instead the minute you give your life to Jesus you are already in the kingdom
of heaven, and this world is not your place anymore. You are now a tourist
travelling through life in the kingdom of heaven with one true purpose and that
is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In other words, you become a do-er and
not a bystander. That is why the scripture say in Matthew 6, “But seek first
the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added
to you”. When you give your life to Jesus you become a new creation and the
Holy Spirit then dwells within you and all that you give Him will become His. Most
important is that we should have an intimate, day-to-day relationship with the
Holy Spirit as He becomes your best friend and the one you share everything
with. Even more so is the time you spend with Him in your prayer closet (room)
of great importance and value. It is here where you seek and where you build
your relationship with the Holy Spirit. It is here where we grow in our faith
and we equip ourselves with the Word of God for we can not live by bread alone
but by every Word that God speaks through the Bible. When you do this, you will
be contempt and you will find true prosperity. Now, God did not say money is
bad, He said the love of money (or material things) is bad. Having lots of money
or possessions is not bad in fact God wants you to have “all things”. It is
what we do with money or possessions that is important. When we live in a close
and intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit (seeking Him above all else) we
will have all we need. This brings me to verse 11 and 12 of Psalm 65, “You
crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with
abundance. The grasslands of the wilderness become a lush pasture, and the
hillsides blossom with joy”. This is
what God wants for your life and that is to bear fruit. When we steward what God
blesses us with for His glory, we will have more than we can think or dream of.
My dear friend, I pray that the Holy Spirit will guide you into a more and
deeper relationship with Him and that you will prosper in all things. Have an awesome
day.
