As the new year sets in it is always the time for new resolutions. People want to change things that did not go well in the past year, go on a diet, take up a new hobby, change a job, spend more time with friends and family, retire, save up for a dream vacation and so on. We all have dreams and sometimes those dreams seem impossible or to far to reach.
Many start a new year with new ideas and motivation and it lasts but a mere month. Why do people fail in their dreams or stop with their ideals. Why do we give up and surrender to whatever is dealt to us. I believe it is because we miss the awe of God. We miss who He really is and what He can do. We know about Him but we do not know Him. Again David writes “those who fear Him” will be loved by God forever and His salvation extends to generation after generation of those who are faithful.
My dear friend, God is the God of impossibles. Nothing is impossible for Him and no one is less important than another. God so loved this world that He gave His only son so that everyone (you and me) can be saved. God desires an intimate day to day relationship with us and as we draw closer to Him, He will draw closer to us.
In this lies the answer to all our needs, desires and dreams. With God we can do anything and when He is for us no one can be against us. So when I think of the year ahead my dream is to get even more closer to God and seek and do His will. This year (2026) is going to be a year of invasion and love like never before. Come with me as we desire more of God and delight in Him and seek His will and His ways.
