John Bevere writes that people have three images of themselves. Perceived (how we see ourselves), projected (how we want the world to see us) and actual (who God sees). Sometimes people project a good person type of image yet their actual person is wicked and their motives dark. God says here that you should not worry or consider him who prospers because of wickedness.
Yet God says that we should wait patiently for Him and that our righteousness will be like the light, clearly visible and our justice will be like shining sun at noon. Eventually all man will stand before God in judgement and their true self will be openly visible to the entire assembly of God. That is why it is imperative that we steer clear of worldly behaviour but instead seek to live our lives doing what is right in God’s sight.
It is in our commitment to God’s Word and living a life of obedience and reverent fear that we will truly prosper for our prosperity is in God and not of this world. Therefore we should continue to seek the kingdom of God above all else and live lives listening to God and delighting in His ways.
I truly look forward in spending eternity with you, my dear friend, worshiping our Lord. Have an awesome day.
