Today's thought - 05 January 2026

As we are getting into the new year I am again reminded of who God is. I believe as this year unfolds it is important that we give God the place and position He must have. I love this Psalm as David writes “the earth is the Lord’s and everything in it”. We often forget that in a godly mindset we are not owners but stewards of what is gracefully given to us.

That is why Jesus said in Luke 16 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities”. David asks this question “Who can stand in His place?” The answer is simply he who has clean hands and a pure heart. I believe that is what we should aspire to in the year ahead. We should seek to draw closer to God in complete righteousness with clean hands (sinless) and a pure heart (humble) so that we will experience the fullness of God in our lives.

Not only will we increase in knowledge of God but also in responsibility. So, I pray that we enter in prayer each with fear and reverence with clean hands and a pure heart so that we will see more of God in our lives and the lives of every person we meet. May your light for Jesus become so bright that it will be impossible for others to not see or desire it.

Have an awesome day, my friend.
