I believe this is the ultimate goal. To live a life that is pleasing to God. In the end we will all face judgement and as we ask for forgiveness of our sins, they are forgiven by the blood of Jesus. Yet we still need to make sure we live lives that pleases God. Lives that obey His commandments and strive to fully step into our purpose.
This means the more we step into our purpose the more fruit we bear (streams of living water) and steadily increasing our knowledge of God. If you are married for a number of years your intimate and close relationship with your spouse has grown to a level where you know each other so well that you could even know what they think by looking at their reactions or even their expressions.
Now this is the relationship God wants to have with you whereby He not only refers to you as son or daughter but as friend with whom He shares His secrets. I believe that this type of intimate relationship with God is what every believer should aspire to. My dear friend, it is imperative that we seek God above all and desire to walk in a close relationship with Him.
