As I was listening to people yesterday you can sense the new year excitement yet it seems as the exhaustion and anxiety of the last year remains. The new year has the promise of new things but there are also things we carried over into this year that needs completion. Jesus said you should focus on each day and to not fear about tomorrow.
What is fear and anxiety otherwise as lies the enemy uses to pull you away from God’s will and purpose in your lives. Sometimes we need to let go of whatever we could not do in the previous year and allow God to move things in place according to His will and time. So no matter where you find yourself this morning and whatever is running around in your mind, give it to God and He will not let you fall but He will strengthen you as you enter into the new seasons of your life. I love this verse in Isaiah 40.
To wait on the Lord is to trust Him completely with all we have knowing that He only wants what is best for us. It is in this complete surrender that we are filled by His love and joy and peace. This not only removes all fear (worries) but strengthens you. I love how you shall mount up like eagles living close to God and never grow weary or faint or grow tired. There is an abundance of strength in the joy of the Lord which is given when we replace fear and worry with trust and faith. You are wonderfully made, my friend and a mighty warrior.
