There are two parts of this scripture that I wish to highlight. David writes you can be sure of this “God sets apart the godly for Himself and answers when we call on Him”. It is more than a promise because he says you can be sure of this.
This "setting apart" signifies holiness, purpose, and a guarantee that God's ear is attentive to those who belong to Him, offering confidence to trust Him rather than the lies of enemies. Then secondly he says do not sin by letting anger control you.
Paul writes “Be angry, and do not sin do not let the sun go down on your wrath”. What we need to remember is that in our flaws we open doors for the enemy to come in and gain ground in our lives. It is so important that we desire the fruits of the Spirit and steer clear of wickedness to keep the enemy away. Resist the devil (enemy) and he will flee from you.
Do not give him opportunity to enter into your mind and thoughts. Think about it, talk to God about it and refrain from letting anger make you fall.
