Today's thought - 18 June 2026 (Faith)

I think God is busy teaching me something around faith. He keeps brining me back to Hebrews 11 and He seem to keep pointing me to the faith that is described by the writer through the lives of the people in the Bible. That is why He is saying to us this morning that we have been invited to live in something better that what those guys had and that is faith’s fullness.

Faith is believing in something before you have received it and I know my battles will increase and my attacks will get more. Believe me the enemy is using all his cards to keep me from living in my purpose and doing what I have been called to do.

I want to use Shadrach, Mesarch and Abednego as an example. We know they did not want to bow down to the statue and that Nebuchadnezzar asked his men to increase the furnace seven time more than usual. The bible says that the men who threw them in the furnace was consumed by the fire so hot it was. Once in the fire there was a fourth man with them in the fire walking around.

Now, when we face the fires of life (the attacks), the enemy will increase it more and more and even when it is increased God will intervene and our enemies will be destroyed (consumed) by God’s fire and in the midst of this fire (storm) we will rise and He (Jesus) will walk in it and through it with us.

My friend, Jesus said if you have faith the size of a mustard seed you can move a mountain and everything we ask in faith He will give us. I am reminded of this verse in Matthew 7, “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”.

If we know how to take care of our children, how much more will our father take care of us. Jesus on a more than one occasion said to the disciples that their faith is lacking. So, Jesus is saying to you and me today, “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”.

My dear friend, God is saying, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

Do not allow what you are facing and what you are going through to alter your direction or influence your faith. In fact, be more tenacious in your faith and trust God because He said, “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun”.

I love you my friend, have an awesome day.
