Today's thought - 25 June 2026 (Read, Pray and Repeat)

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. I am reading this verse in Psalm 27, and I feel how the Holy Spirit says, “Did I not say so?”. You know it may feel at times I am repeating myself but honestly maybe I do. Maybe sometimes I have to hear myself say it again.

I aways come back to my court case, but I believe what I face and what I see and what I experience is relevant to me and to you. We have to complete our answering affidavit after another attack was launched to try and keep my daughter from me and to alienate her from me more. So, I bought this new printer to print what in the end was a 185-page affidavit with annexures. Now first I struggled to get it to work while I have very limited time to read through all and to print it. Finally, when I am done and amendments were made, the printer ran out of ink. To top it all off there are no 24-hour internet cafés in my area. When I finally got to one, they only have computers and no printers.

Simple things like this will drive people insane. In the end my one friend got up at two in the morning, printed what was left to print. I drove to the police to get them all commissioned and signed and waited in front of a PostNet until they opened so I could quickly scan all the pages and send it to my lawyer, who by the way also got up before dawn to make sure I am fine and that I am able to get it all done. How amazing is that?

One thing I can testify to and that is not only is Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit vital in my day-to-day life and how I remain stable and at peace throughout this, but the people the Lord brings into my life is amazing. My lawyers, my advocate, my Pastors, my friends, my work, my boss and my church and even the Police have been God send and there are no other words to describe them. They are unbelievable and amazing people. I thank God for them literally every day.

The end is near my friend. It is near. I always write to you on how important your relationship is with the Holy Spirit and believe me it may sound like I have nothing else to say, but it is unbelievable how He carries me through all this and how He just gives me peace.

Now listen to this (Galatians 5): “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God”.

If you look at people and how they deal with things and how they live their lives, especially people who wants to hurt you or deceive you, then you will see many of these works (as Paul calls them) are visible in their lives. When the Holy Spirit is not part of your life or important to you, you will fall into any of these default reactions or actions, and you will feel no guilt or fear for your actions. If He is ignored He will be quiet. Then Paul continues to say: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another”.

I am everything but perfect and I still have a long way to go, but I can tell you I have seen how the Holy Spirit produces these fruits in my life when I would otherwise be lost and beaten. You have to understand the context. Not only is it this court case but we are busy with one of the hardest and most time-consuming projects that constantly deviates as other things are added or needed and each one is important and must be done as soon as possible. This means that I literally sit and work every day and most nights.

In the midst of all God says: “Be still and know that I am God and I am with you in it all. It shall be well”.
