Today's thought - 24 June 2026 (Don't just walk but run for God)

 

My dear friend, there are a few things this morning that are on my heart and I believe the Holy Spirit is guiding us in a direction. It starts with Ezekiel 33:13, “When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, but he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die”.

So, we know faith without works is dead and we can not please God without faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. Now here in Ezekiel the Holy Spirit reminds me again that we cannot go through the fire on our own for then we will surely burn (die). If we attempt to walk this journey on our own our righteousness will fail and we will fall. In other words, if we try to live in our purpose without the Holy Spirit or His guidance we will fail.

Then He goes on in Jeremiah 3:3, “Therefore the showers have been withheld,
And there has been no latter rain. You have had a harlot’s forehead; You refuse to be ashamed”. And here He is telling me if I attempt any of what lies ahead without Him or His guidance my rain will be withheld. He basically says that His favour and His blessing will not rest upon us if we try to walk on our own or continue to sin. We need to confess our sins and ask the Lord to wash us in His blood so that we can be fully righteous before God and ask Him for a pure and clean heart and a right spirit so we can hear His voice clearly and follow His direction without any guilt.

Then He says in Psalm 27:14, “Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!”.

In essence without the Holy Spirit, I am toast. I can testify to this because honestly without Him I would have lost my mind by now and I would have given up. The time and the pain and the costs and the crap surrounding this whole court case would have destroyed me months ago was it not for the Holy Spirit. His hand is constantly on this from the day it landed on me and how someone just stepped in to assist me financially and still do. From being calm and respectful with someone who lies and deceives to even willing to help her. To being arrested and the case not enrolled and no bail was needed to be paid to the amazing legal team that fights this battle to God’s hand and favour on my life, because I have not for one moment needed to worry about finances and I continue to tithe and give as much as I can and I keep obeying whatever God puts on my heart and I stop all that He does not agree with.

This is God and this is one miracle after another. People I pray for got healed. Men on the street who is forgotten by the world now goes to church and read a Bible. People from my work start to listen to our church sermons and they go to church. In the midst of my worst battles yet, God continue to do miracle after miracle. Why? Because I keep my eyes on Him and when I fall, I go on my knees before Him, and I confess and ask for forgiveness, and I stand up stronger and more determined. Because I dare not take my eyes of Him. Now He is saying that in the days ahead this attitude will be even more important and I need to walk closer with Him. That is why He says wait patiently and be of good courage. He will give us strength in it and He will be with us.

All I can say is that if God is for me, who can be against me.

Do not be dismayed or confused but remain focussed on Jesus and make your prayer time a priority each and every day.

If He can do all this for me, He can do it for you. Just seek Him above all else and trust His way and His time. Soon it will all be over and God will be glorified in my testimony, and many will know that He is God and I will continue to serve Him and worship Him no matter what.
