So,
yesterday I said, “It is not the sickness or the addiction but the very
lie that binds us to it. And if that sickness means my end and I will spend
eternity with my Lord, well I guess that is fine, because I will go home to my
Lord”.
I feel that I need to add to this, because I do not mean
that if a sickness will mean my end that I will just give up and let it run its
course. I believe that God can heal anything, and I believe that with all my
heart. I think it is almost as the situation with the furnace that Shadrach,
Meshach and Abednego were thrown in. It is simply that God can change any
challenge, but if He does not, I will continue to praise Him for in both
scenario’s I will be fine.
In Matthew
4 we read, “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their
synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of
sickness and all kinds of disease among the people”.
You see Jesus walked in the power of the Holy Spirit and as I
told you before Jesus basically mimicked the way we should live our lives and
especially the way we should walk with the Holy Spirit. Jesus on many occasions
separated Himself from people to pray. His example of how much time He spend in
prayer should be the blueprint that we should strive towards.
Now, what I am trying to say is that Jesus heals. He healed
many people and He said, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send
you”.
In Mark 16 Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the
gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but
whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany
those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in
new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink
deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on
sick people, and they will get well”.
God’s heart is to heal people. Not just of sickness but of everything
that bounds them and keeps them from living a life of abundance. It is not that
God does not heal, it is in our hearts and in our faith that we hold back, and
God can’t work through us.
My dear friend, I keep saying this and maybe we should hear
it often. Your walk and your intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit are
vital to your life in the kingdom of God. It is when we live closer to Him that
He will reveal all things to us and He will work His miracles through us. In His
time and in His will and in His way. We need to step up and align ourselves
with that and the only way is in the Word seeking more of Him every day.
Have an awesome day my friend.
