Trust and Faith

Luke 12
27 "Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.28 And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
29 "And don't be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don't worry about such things.30 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs.31 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.
32 "So don't be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.
33 "Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes. Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it.34 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

I am taking us back to this passage, because I believe that God has more He wants to share with us here. In our lives today we have been fooled in thinking that we must take care of ourselves and that we are measured by our possessions. We believe that success is how much we own and how much money we have. We think that we must gather a lot so that we can end and live of the many treasures we have collected in our lives.
In a search and struggle to complete this desire to be able to retire wealthy we live empty lives. We are in direct conflict with actually being a child of God, a Christian.
Jesus clearly says here that God knows your needs and that He will fulfill your needs for His glory. We are missing the point, we are not in control of our lives. God knew you and had your life planned before you were born. He will take care of you, and He will be glorified in your life.
We are here for His glory, and to spread His gospel. There are so many in need, and yet we would rather keep our treasures for ourselves.
God gives to us so that we can give to other. This is a privilege and a blessing.
For today, we must understand that God provides in our needs and that we must have faith.
Today I want to seek the kingdom of God.

The truth about forgiveness

What is forgiveness? Oxford says it is the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven. But what is forgiveness actually? It is the rel...
