Today Reminder – 30 October 2015

A reminder for today
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. (James1:2)

Don’t you just love this verse? It is so awesome. James says when trouble comes your way you must be happy. Have you ever felt like that? When you are facing massive amounts of obstacles and your work load is about to drive you insane, are you happy and laughing? I must say I fail miserably when it comes to being happy about trouble, but let’s look at the rest of what James says:

For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. (Verse 3-4)

Trouble tests our faith and when we succeed our faith grows and grows, because we keep our trust in Jesus knowing it will all be well in the end. This is what I love so much about this scripture. You see instead of breaking down we must stand up and take these troubles with faith so that we can grow. Wow I am in awe of how God works.

So today, my dear friend, we are going to laugh in the face of danger and trust God with all our hearts. We will take our challenges with joy and defeat the enemy with a smile.

I pray that you will stand in your storms firmly grounded on Jesus and that you will face your troubles with joy as we trust Jesus completely. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 29 October 2015

A reminder for today
Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. (Luke 12:34)

I realised yesterday that my process to reconciliation is not going to be as easy as I hoped. I spoke to my father in law yesterday and after this conversation I realised that our focus is entirely different and that I do not agree with his requests. And as you know me by now I lied awake in my bed contemplating over this in a million different ways. I must say I am disappointed and hurt in a sense, because I expected something different than what I got. So you might ask what was my conclusion after hours of arguing with all my personalities.

I realised that my wife is my focus point and our happiness is more important to me than the ideas of other. Our success is more important than the perspectives of other and I really don’t care what people think of me. I know that our problems was not one sided and that we both are guilty and both of us made mistakes. It is just hard to be the only one that is questioned and placed under surveillance. But this is something I have to deal with and it is something many will be sorry for in days to come.

Jesus reminded me today that wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. My treasure is my wife and kids and this is where the desires of my heart will be. In the end it will be just the two of us and none of these “good Samaritans” will be there then. So I will redirect my energy towards our happiness and ignore whatever these people think or have to say. If you judge someone, you are indirectly judging yourself. And none of them are sin free.

So today I pray that the Lord will help us to focus on the things that are important and ignore the stuff that the enemy uses to hurt us. The enemy want us to feel guilty and useless and I pray that the Lord will change the negative thoughts in us to positive and self-uplifting thoughts that will return our joy and destroy all the bad stuff. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 28 October 2015

A reminder for today
Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. (Romans 12:12)

I am terrible with patience and it is very difficult for me to be patient. God is definitely on a mission to teach me patience and I am grateful for it. There is no reason to be hasty and to rush into decisions. Sometimes we need a moment to stand and watch from a distance just to get the full perspective and even if you think you are ready and all is in place it is good to take one last moment and just make sure you see everything the way God wants you to see it.

Patience is not a loner, because patience needs hope. Together they can be a powerful tool in the successes we need in life. Patience together with hope can bring us so much closer to God, because the minute we combine the two it affects the way we have faith and how we trust God. Finally this will bring us back to our knees in prayer and that is where we win battles. When we are patient and in faith we hope with prayer we will see how God move mountains.

My hope is in God for the success of my marriage and the amazing relationship God is forming between us. It is with this hope and faith that I am on my knees and for which I pray more and more each day.

So today I want you to take a moment and just calm yourself. Ask God for the necessary patience and have hope and faith in God so that He will guide you and help you through your processes. Life can be so hard at times and it is in these times that hope, faith, patience and love will keep us from sinking in our storms.

I pray that God will give us patience and renew our hope and faith as we give all that we are facing, for Him. I pray that we will completely and fully trust God and let Him restore, renew and rebuild us in our journey towards Him and towards the successes we need in life. I pray that you will see Him in all that you attempt and that you will have one victory after the next as you remain faithful. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 27 October 2015

A reminder for today
Then Peter came to him and asked, "Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?" "No, not seven times," Jesus replied, "but seventy times seven! (Matthew 18:21-22)

Forgiveness – so hard to give and so easy to ask for. Yesterday I decided to ask for forgiveness from my wife’s family and in the same process forgive everyone that I am angry with. I asked forgiveness from all of them and as I forgave I felt a huge burden fall away that I carried with me all this time. I felt how Jesus just lifted this darkness that surrounded me and I felt free for the first time in a long time. I also decided to stop worrying what other think of me, for they will see the work of my Father in me and they will be amazed, because the Lord has already done so much.

Peter asked Jesus if he should forgive seven times and Jesus relied that he should forgive seventy times seven. My dear friend, how can we accept the forgiveness and freedom we have in Jesus if we can’t forgive? In forgiveness lies freedom and therefore I forgive all and everyone that has ever sinned against me. When we forgive completely the cross of Jesus find its full purpose and meaning in us and we can truly show the love of Jesus to the world around us. As much as I love Jesus passionately I also love my family and this love will reflect out of me and touch the people around me as I love other the same way I love myself.

So today I pray that you will find forgiveness and forgive all that ever sinned against you. I pray that the Lord will give you the same peace and freedom that has now filled my entire being. I pray that the Lord will bless you abundantly and as you seek Him in all you do, I pray that He will give you the desires of your heart. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

PS: I am adding the “Parable of the Unforgiving Debtor” in case you were wondering how God will deal with an unforgiving person.

"Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a king who decided to bring his accounts up to date with servants who had borrowed money from him. In the process, one of his debtors was brought in who owed him millions of dollars. He couldn't pay, so his master ordered that he be sold—along with his wife, his children, and everything he owned—to pay the debt.  "But the man fell down before his master and begged him, 'Please, be patient with me, and I will pay it all.' Then his master was filled with pity for him, and he released him and forgave his debt.  "But when the man left the king, he went to a fellow servant who owed him a few thousand dollars. He grabbed him by the throat and demanded instant payment. "His fellow servant fell down before him and begged for a little more time. 'Be patient with me, and I will pay it,' he pleaded. But his creditor wouldn't wait. He had the man arrested and put in prison until the debt could be paid in full.  "When some of the other servants saw this, they were very upset. They went to the king and told him everything that had happened. Then the king called in the man he had forgiven and said, 'You evil servant! I forgave you that tremendous debt because you pleaded with me. Shouldn't you have mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?' Then the angry king sent the man to prison to be tortured until he had paid his entire debt.  "That's what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters from your heart." (Matthew 18:23-35)

Today Reminder – 26 October 2015

A reminder for today
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! (Galatians 5:22-23)

Today my Dad’s is seventy four years old and what a blessing to still have him with us. It is wonderful to see all the amazing blessings the Lord showers over my life. This weekend with my boys on the farm was so awesome. We had so much fun that we did not want to return to the busy life here in the city. But today I am more blessed than ever before. I have been given the most wonderful gift any man can ever have and that is to have my love and my life back. It has taken a few months for us to work out our differences and I suppose there will be a few more that needs to be resolved but it is just amazing how God has blessed us in this healing process and how He is working with my heart. The changes that has happened in past week has been above human understanding thus making it one miracle after the next. God is so good to me and I am in awe of Him in every moment.

So today I am writing to the one I love. God has given me a Spirit of strength and power and not of fear and this Spirit produces now more than ever love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control with me and I am placing all of this in you for it is you I love more than  life itself. God is filling my whole being with kindness and goodness and above all faithfulness that I will shower over you each day and each day to come. I will carry you on my hands and love you more each day than the day before. I will hold you, protect you and cherish you every moment now and forever and when the Lord returns I will continue to love you forever. You are my reason to wake each morning and the smile on my face when I am lost in my thoughts. You are my moon and stars and I will love you as sure as they shine every night. You are my joy and my peace and you are the love of my life.

So today I pray for our families and that the Lord will bless our families and form strong and unbreakable bonds that the enemy will never be able to break. I pray for love and that love will always break the pain and overcome the challenges, I pray for our loved ones and that the Lord will bless them each day so that they will be safe and happy and without fear. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
