Today Reminder – 29 February 2016

A reminder for today
Today is the 29’th of February and we are in a leap year. This is so awesome, because we needed an extra day in this month with the unbelievable workload that we have and here we are - one more day. I must admit that I am past tired. I am exhausted from all the work we are busy with, so today I will leave you with a few motivation thoughts:

For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

The one thing I ask of the LORD—the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD's perfections and meditating in his Temple. (Psalm 27:4)

Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! (Psalm 27:8)

Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31)

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? (Romans 8:31)

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)

And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God's house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. (Hebrews 10:19-23)

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Let every knee bow down and every voice declare that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 26 February 2016

A reminder for today
A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands. (Proverbs 14:1)

I wrote to you about individuality yesterday and how we are all made unique in God’s kingdom. I also said that you must never try and smother your individuality for the sake of others. So today I want to write to you about individualism with combined passion. Passion is such a powerful word and one I have great respect for. Passion is strong and barely controllable emotion. It is something we have that drives us to our limits and combines people in the most beautiful ways. Two individuals can share the same passion and when God unites this passion you will see the unexpected. Two brothers completely unique in their personalities shared one dream and passion to be the first men to fly and so their passion drove the Wright brothers to succeed when other laughed at their idea. Twelve men with a combined passion from a living God faced a hostile world to plant the church and show Jesus to a corrupt world. Two individual men with complete different backgrounds shared a passion and became the best of friends in such a way that we still refer to true friendship like David and Jonathan.

You see when two individuals share a combined passion in Jesus Christ, we see miracles. We see businesses flourish and we see relationships with a fire that cannot be extinguished by anything. We see a world change in front of our own eyes.

God gave us life and then He gave us talents. He placed it all into one body and threw in a mixture of determination, love and passion. When those combine with another, we see things that many desire. You see in Jesus we will find our perfection and then live out this perfection so that other will desire it.

Lord, fill us with passion so that our fire will burn for you, In Jesus name.

Let every knee bow down and every voice declare that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 25 February 2016

A reminder for today
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. (James 3:17)

It is hard to suppress who we are. The individual that God created will always break out and find his way to the surface of who we are. We can try to alter our personality to fit other, but in the end we will always fall back onto who we are. Our individuality is unique and almost impossible to suppress and hide. When we find ourselves in a comfortable space our individuality will flourish. It is the moment we must submit and change ourselves for the benefit of other that we become rebels in our own bodies. This inner conflict will continue until we let our individuality out to freely be who we are. Friends or co-workers can sometimes have a negative impact on who we are so we might try to fit in to make them happy and then unknowingly we try to overpower who we are. This will enhance our inner conflict until we realise that we were meant to be different and we do not fit in with that crowd.

It is imperative that we seek God’s wisdom, because His wisdom is pure and it will show us the correct way and correct way to be who we are meant to be. When we listen to His wisdom we will find peace that will last and we will willingly yield, because it does not go against our core self. When we are ourselves we will flow with mercy and good deeds as we are who we are and thus being who God intended us to be.

My dear friend, do not change your core to be who you are not. It will destroy you and make you extremely unhappy. It will cause distance between you and the Father and this is not how God intended us to be. God wants us to be happy and to live happily in His mercy and blessings. He does not want you to be unhappy and broken all the time.

Lord, guide us to be ourselves and lead us to your wisdom so that we can be ourselves for your glory. In Jesus name.

Let every knee bow down and every voice declare that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 24 February 2016

A reminder for today
I find myself standing at the edge of a cliff staring at the abyss ahead of me. I am high up on a mountain and the winds are gushing past me shaking me as I struggle to keep my footing. Many thoughts are travelling through my mind, and the one thing that keeps popping in my head is how sick and tired I am of all the crap. I feel so tired and every bone and muscle through my entire body aches and pains. The pain itself is bearable but the consistent way it keeps pulsing through me is getting to me. I feel like I can just leap and fall into this abyss ahead of me. I feel that I can just let go and give up. I feel that the reasons to quit exceed the reasons to go on. I feel lost and broken as the enemy laughs in my face knowing that I am at my end. I just cannot go on anymore…

I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth!

He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.

The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.

The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. (Psalm 121)

Lord, please take this broken vessel and give it strength to stand up once more. In Jesus name.

Let every knee bow down and every voice declare that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 23 February 2016

A reminder for today
Ezekiel is an example for you; you will do just as he has done. And when that time comes, you will know that I am the Sovereign LORD. (Ezekiel 24:24)

Reading through Ezekiel is quite a challenge. It is a book filled with judgement against Israel and their sins and how they turned away from God. God is very angry with them as He punishes them for their mistakes. It is an eye opener to see how God used Ezekiel and how Ezekiel did all that God commanded. Even when God took his wife, he still listened and did as God requested. Ezekiel never questioned God and did as God commanded with no fear and reluctance.

Today I feel that God just wants us to remember that nothing we have and nothing we do is from our own abilities and strength. Everything we have and all that we achieve each day is a blessing. Everything can be taken from us in an instant and we can be left with nothing. Then again is our worldly things really so important. Does your car of your house determine who you are and how you will enter heaven? Is your position or title a pre-requisite for your entry into heaven?  Can we buy our way into heaven and can we ever have something that God does not have?

It is the enemy that makes us believe that we must be important and live in an expensive house and drive an expensive car. It is the enemy that deems these things important, because they are of this world. These material things have been the end of so many and they will continue to ruin people as long as the desire for them is accepted. Ezekiel is an example for us and we need to look past this world and focus our lives on God. We need to understand that all we have is a blessing and we need to understand where it all comes from. God is the giver, but most of all God is the giver of life and we need to desire life with Him more than anything else.

Lord, we praise you for all you have done for us and all that you continue to do in our lives. Thank you for all the blessings we receive so lovingly from your Father hand. Let us praise your name and glorify you by the way we live and use your gifts, In Jesus name.

Let every knee bow down and every voice declare that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
