Today Reminder - 31 October 2012 (Prayer)

A reminder for today
Now hear my prayer; listen to my cry. (Psalm 88:2)

Prayer – the Lord listens.

My dear friend, just as the Lord heard the cries of Abraham when he pleaded for Lot who lived in Sodom, the Lord will also hear you prayer and help you through your troubles.

My prayer for you today is that you will be motivated to pray and that you will not give up. I pray that the Lord will hear your cries and bless you for your faith, in Jesus name.

“If you are too busy to pray, you are busier than God wants you to be.” ― Wanda E. Brunstetter

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 30 October 2012 (Faith)

A reminder for today
And Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD counted him as righteous because of his faith. (Genesis 15:6)

Faith – are you counted as righteous?

God made a covenant with Abram: Then the LORD took Abram outside and said to him, "Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That's how many descendants you will have!” This was a moment of impossibility where God stepped in and Abram believed. This moment of faith made that the Lord counted him as righteous.

Now, once again, I am guided by the spirit to confirm that you should not be afraid. When God tells you that you will be fine, accept this promise through faith so that you too can be counted righteous.

My dear friend, whatever it is that the Lord is telling you, trust Him and have faith. God has a plan and it is beyond our imagination.

My prayer for you is that God will reveal His plan and that you will stand firm in faith, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 29 October 2012 (Bold)

A reminder for today
Melchizedek blessed Abram with this blessing: "Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
Creator of heaven and earth. And blessed be God Most High, who has defeated your enemies for you." (Genesis 14:19-20)

Bold – trusting God for victory.

This is an interesting section in the life of Abram. His nephew Lot was captured and taken away by the armies of King Kedorlaomer of Elam, King Tidal of Goiim, King Amraphel of Babylonia, and King Arioch of Ellasar. One of his men escaped and told Abram who in turn took 318 men from his household and went after Kedorlaomer's army until he caught up with them at Dan. Here he defeated them and send them running to free Lot and all the prisoners.

What caught my attention is the bold way Abram got up and by faith followed them and defeated them with God’s help. What sounds almost impossible was made possible. Abram just got up and went after them, with no two thoughts about it.

How often do we stand before something and we know God will be with us, but we allow doubt to enter our minds and confuse us, when instead we must just get up and go after it. We must be bold in our actions as Abram was.

My dear friend, the Creator of heaven and earth is with you through all that awaits you, do not let doubt and fear take away victory but let God defeat your enemy and save you from failure, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 26 October 2012 (Obey)

A reminder for today
The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father's family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you." (Genesis 12:1-3)

Hearing, listening and following – is to obey.

This is probably one of the most interesting scriptures in the Bible and it leaves us with such a great idea of how God will take us in a direction and then He can just change our course and send us on to greater things. I love how Abram hears this call from God and how he obeys without doubting.

We love to hear God’s voice and then doubt it and then make up our own plans. And when our plans fail, we wonder why that could happen. Following our own direction will lead to more bad choices until we change our direction and follow God’s plan. We are stubborn in that sense and disobedient.

My dear friend, God’s plans (however small in our eyes) is far greater than we can ever envisage. Listen carefully, hear exactly what God says and follow His plan with perseverance. God will lead you to where you are most needed, even if it that means you must travel a little.

I pray that you will hear God’s voice and that He will show you the way He has planned for you and that you will follow Him with a contempt heart, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 25 October 2012 (Impossible)

A reminder for today
Now be fruitful and multiply, and repopulate the earth." (Genesis 9:7)

Impossible – With God nothing is impossible.

It is amazing to think that out of Noah and his three sons God made the entire human race as it is today. It is mind blowing actually and to a human mind impossible to grasp. You see we like to make sense of everything and we like to calculate and experiment and work out how it is done and how it happened. God is beyond our understanding and far greater than we can ever imagine. God’s power is so infinite and fast that it is impossible for us to even understand or realise how big God is.

We try and bring God down to our level and that is impossible. Nothing can compare to God and nothing we do will ever give us an idea. Yes we get a glimpse of that power when we realise how big the universe is and we see the amazing things God has done and is still doing. But this is things that we can see. It is the things we cannot see that we will never be able to comprehend.

Now with this in mind I would like to remind you that with God nothing is impossible. He created the world and the universe out of nothing. He took three families and populated the earth. He can take you and do amazing things. So do not think that you are not able to do it. You are more able, because God makes you able.

I pray that God will lift you up and carry you through all that you face and that you will glorify Him when you realise you have done the impossible and you have succeeded, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
